23-year-old arrested for shooting at trucks on I-90

A 23-year-old man was arrested on December 9 after firing over 40 rounds at vehicles on I-90 near Idaho's state line.

The incident: Wyatt Armstrong was seen shooting from the median with an AR-style rifle and a pistol. His shots hit a semi truck, but luckily no one was injured.

  • Reports indicate he fired the weapon after "having a rough day" and planning to end his life in Washington.
  • Armstrong's pickup truck reportedly broke down, prompting him to take aim at passing vehicles.

Arrest details: Idaho State Police quickly located and arrested Armstrong without any resistance. They found firearms and collected 41 shell casings from the scene.

Armstrong is currently held at Kootenai County Jail on serious charges like unlawful discharge of a firearm and DUI, with a bond set at $500,000, reported KHQ.
