Car driver charged after street racing crash with semi truck

A car driver in Arizona is facing charges after a dangerous crash with a commercial truck on the night of October 4, 2025.

What happened: Arizona State Troopers responded around 7:30 p.m. to a collision on eastbound AZ-202 at the AZ-101 junction. Officers say a passenger vehicle got wedged between a big rig and the barrier wall.

Witnesses told police the car driver was racing another vehicle on the highway just before the crash.
The driver, whose name wasn't released, only had minor injuries to their face.

The charges: The motorist is accused of street racing, reckless driving, and endangerment, according to state police.

The other vehicle involved in the racing left the scene and has not been found.
