On Sunday night, August 10th, a wild police chase played out across Los Angeles County as two men stole multiple vehicles, including a semi truck hauling milk.
How it began: The incident started when the pair, in a stolen pickup, got a flat tire on the freeway. After two failed carjacking attempts, they went after a bobtail semi, but that trucker was quick and threw his rig in reverse to avoid them.
- The men then crashed into a white tanker semi and forced the driver out, taking the truck onto the 5 Freeway near Sylmar.
- After about an hour, just after 11:30 p.m., they abandoned the semi downtown and stole a white pickup for another leg of their getaway.
- The chase snaked through neighborhoods like Santa Clarita, Hollywood, Echo Park, and Boyle Heights.
On the run: The duo managed to elude police after ditching the final stolen pickup. As of Monday, their whereabouts are still unknown, reported FOX 11 Los Angeles.
No injuries were reported, but the suspects have not yet been caught and the search continues.
