California Highway Patrol had their hands full on Sunday, June 15, after getting calls about a semi going the wrong way on I-5 in Siskiyou County.
What happened: Drivers saw the rig cross the median and then head north in the southbound lanes, raising alarms fast.
- A CHP officer got ahead of the truck and was able to bring it to a stop before anything worse happened.
- No drugs or alcohol were involved, according to officials.
- The event is being investigated to figure out what led to this unusual move.
CHP thanked everyone who called 911, pointing out, “Your quick thinking might have saved lives.”
