Connecticut man arrested for looting overturned semi cargo on I-84

A Connecticut man named Marcus King was arrested after a truck overturned on Interstate 84, spilling its cargo across the road early Sunday morning, April 6.

The incident: Around 5:20 a.m., Connecticut State Police used traffic cameras to spot a pickup truck reversing down the Exit 42 off-ramp on I-84 East.

  • King was seen getting out of his truck to collect items scattered from the tractor-trailer wreck.
  • Shortly after gathering the goods, he drove off.

Police action: State troopers quickly tracked down King and arrested him for driving the wrong way, pedestrian violations, and theft.

  • He was released later on a $10,000 bond.

The state police report noted that officers used a wrong-way detection system to identify King, according to the Daily Voice.
