Crash on I-75 highlights traffic dangers for drivers

A truck driver was detained after a crash on December 12 on I-75 near Royal Oak, Michigan. The incident happened around the 11 Mile Road exit when the driver tried to bypass slowed traffic by moving into the left lane.

The accident: Michigan State Police were parked in the left lane investigating another incident when the semi-truck collided with the patrol cars. One trooper was hospitalized with minor injuries, but was later released.

  • The troopers avoided further injury by jumping over a median wall.

The driver was charged with reckless driving after the crash. Photos taken during the incident caused concern as pedestrians tried capturing the scene, reported FOX 2 Detroit.
