Dash cam captures semi truck sideswiping new police van

A dash cam video recently captured a semi truck sideswiping a new police vehicle in North Carolina. The incident happened on October 29th as two officers were transporting the vehicle back to Rhode Island.

What happened: The special response van, designed for emergencies, was hit by the semi, as per the Newport RI Police Department.

The van was being taken home from the manufacturer in St. Augustine, FL.
A Dunn, NC Police Officer was driving behind and caught the crash on video.

Thankfully: Both officers are doing well after the incident, though the new vehicle took damage.
