Dump truck crashes into house after driver seizure incident

A dump truck slammed into a house in Woodbury Heights, New Jersey, Tuesday afternoon after the driver reportedly suffered a medical emergency.

Details: The truck, loaded with sand, veered off Woodbury-Glassboro Road, hitting a utility pole before crashing into the home around 1:40 p.m.

  • Rescue teams took two hours to free the driver, known as Timmy, who had been experiencing a "Grand Mal" seizure.
  • The homeowner and driver miraculously escaped major injuries.

By the numbers: The truck weighed in at a hefty 73,000 pounds.

  • Crews had to bring down the remaining part of the home, which was left in ruins.

What they're saying: "It's a miracle no one was killed," said Charles Zeisloft, owner of Zeisloft Trucking, according to FOX 29.

The rescue operation wrapped up with the truck pulled from the basement by early evening.
