The incident: Occurred at around 2 p.m. between the Quakertown and Lehigh Valley exits on April 15. One truck carried train wheels, while the other was empty.
Witnesses described the sound of the crash as a loud "boom" that could be heard from miles away. "All of a sudden, I just hear this loud boom," said resident Adrianice Pacheco Ortiz. "It sounded kind of like a big drum, really loud."
Efforts to clear: Emergency crews worked tirelessly, with the roadway reopening by 11 p.m. The cause of the accident remains unknown, and no serious injuries were reported according to CBS News Philadelphia.
