Fire at Indiana truck stop damages multiple semis, no injuries

A fire broke out early Sunday morning at a truck stop in Michigan City, Indiana, engulfing six semi-trucks in flames.

The details: The blaze started around 2 a.m. at Gallops Truck Stop, quickly spreading to three trucks near fuel pumps and the store.

  • Firefighters, including crews from the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office, arrived on the scene and worked together to control the flames.
  • Four of the six trucks were completely destroyed before the fire was contained.

What we know: No injuries were reported, and the fire was put out within an hour. The cause is still under investigation.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident and everyone made it out safely.
