The FMCSA has taken five electronic logging devices (ELDs) off its approved list, effective October 17, 2025. Motor carriers using these devices have just 60 days to switch to a different, compliant ELD.
The details: The five ELDs no longer allowed are:
- PREMIUM ELD by ART KILIM INC (Model: PMMELD, ID: PMM492)
- TRUE LOGBOOK by Clean Aura Corp (Model: 2TRULELD, ID: TRL584)
- Xplore ELD by Xplore Tech Inc (Model: XPLELDELD, ID: XPLORE)
- KAMI ELD by KAMI ELD (Model: KAME-X456, ID: KAM683)
- EVO ELD 1 by Evo ELD Inc. (Model: EVO 1, ID: G711H2)
What truckers need to do: If you're using one of these, the FMCSA says you should stop using the device and go back to paper logs or logging software. You need to find a replacement ELD that is still on the FMCSA list before December 16, 2025.
- Up until the deadline, law enforcement should ask to see paper logs or software, but not issue “no record of duty status” citations just for having these revoked devices.
- After December 16, drivers using any of these devices could be put out-of-service and cited.
If the ELD companies fix the issues, the FMCSA might bring the devices back to the approved list, but truckers are warned not to wait until the last minute, according to the FMCSA update.
