Flatbed truck hit by pickup running red light

A pickup truck running a red light got hit hard by a flatbed truck in a recent incident caught on a traffic camera. The event took place on September 24, 2024.

The details: The pickup, towing a trailer, ignored a red light and sped through an intersection, only to be struck by an oncoming red tractor-trailer.

The collision folded the pickup in half, and its trailer jackknifed, hitting the flatbed truck's cab as the wreck slid across the intersection.
The load on the flatbed truck remained completely secure, which was an impressive sight given the severity of the crash.

Luckily, no injuries were reported in this incident.
