On September 19, 2025, the FMCSA took the ROBINHOOD ELD off its list of approved electronic logging devices. This makes it the fourth ELD dropped this month for not meeting government standards.
What it means: Truckers using the ROBINHOOD ELD now have 60 days to switch to another FMCSA-registered ELD. Until November 18, drivers can use paper logs or logging software to track hours of service.
- After November 18, using ROBINHOOD ELD will result in a citation for “No record of duty status,” and drivers risk being put out-of-service.
- Law enforcement is being told to check for paper logs instead of ELD data during this window.
Earlier in the month, TT ELD PT30, ELOG42, and RENAISSANCE ELD were also removed for the same reason. Truckers using those models have until November 3 to swap out their device with one from the FMCSA’s approved list, according to the FMCSA.
All these changes mean more work for truckers and carriers to stay in compliance with government rules.
