Four semi trucks burned in late night fire at truck stop

Four semi trucks were badly burned in a fire at a truck stop along Colorado Highway 119, just west of I-25 in Weld County, late Wednesday night.

What happened: Around 9:50 p.m. on July 2, Mountain View Fire Rescue got a call about several trucks on fire at the truck stop.

  • Three trucks were already fully engulfed by flames when firefighters arrived.
  • Crews fought the blaze for about 20 minutes, dealing with explosions from fuel tanks and tires.
  • No injuries were reported from the scene.

Investigation: The cause of the fire is still being looked into by the fire marshal and the Weld County Sheriff’s Office.

Although the fire caused major damage to several trucks, everyone made it out safely.
