Joint inspection puts handful of trucks out-of-service on US 287

On September 30, 2025, the Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) and Colorado State Patrol (CSP) ran a joint commercial vehicle enforcement on US 287 at the Wyoming/Colorado line.

The results: Troopers inspected 82 commercial vehicles during the operation.

  • 16 drivers and 24 trucks were put out-of-service for various violations.
  • Four people were arrested. Three were commercial drivers, with two picked up for repeat offenses of driving without a CDL and one for repeated issues with English Language Proficiency rules.
  • Another arrest was tied to a warrant out of state.
  • One citation was also handed out for marijuana.

Most truckers passed the inspection without any problems, showing again how most drivers stick to the rules to keep America’s goods rolling safely.
