Log trailer blocks Old Stage Road after separating from rig

A log trailer ended up blocking Old Stage Road in Riegelwood, North Carolina, on Monday night, May 26.

The details: The trailer became separated from its truck around 7:45 p.m. at 4712 Old Stage Road. Local fire crews were called after a mom and her kids saw the trailer taking up a lane as they drove by.

Fire-Rescue posted about the event, saying the trailer was left "without its truck" after stopping right in the road.
The road had to be closed in both directions while emergency workers cleared things up.
No word has been shared yet on what led to the trailer disconnecting or anything about the driver.

What happened next: The road stayed closed for several hours, but crews reopened it early Tuesday morning, according to WECT News.
