Man hospitalized after getting pinned between two semi trucks

A man was badly hurt after getting pinned between two semi trucks at the Lindt & Sprungli chocolate factory in Stratham, New Hampshire, on Monday, June 23.

What happened: Around noon, emergency crews got a call about a man trapped between two tractor-trailers in the parking lot at 1 Fine Chocolate Place.

  • Teams from Stratham, North Hampton, and Exeter all responded quickly.
  • North Hampton crews reached the scene first, freed the man, and started CPR.

Fire Chief Jeff Denton said, "It was a team effort with people from three communities who worked together. Everyone worked hard, and we were able to transport the individual to Portsmouth Hospital with a pulse."

At first, responders called for a medical helicopter, but then decided to transport the man by ambulance after his condition changed.

Details about what caused the accident or the man's identity have not been released, according to Seacoastonline.

No emergency personnel were hurt in the rescue. No further updates on the man's current condition have been provided.
