Mystery woman found behind Texas truck stop identified

After 26 years, a mystery woman's body found behind a Texas truck stop has been identified as Nellie Gillespie, a 61-year-old who had been missing since 1998.

The discovery: Her body was found on October 7, 1998, near a Pilot Travel Center in Weatherford, Texas. Items like a gun, shell casing, wig, and glasses were discovered nearby, reported Star-Telegram.

DNA breakthrough: In 2023, her teeth were tested, leading to a match with her son, David Gillespie, who had been searching for her.
