Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol Carrier Enforcement Division held a blitz on truck inspections in Buffalo County on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
The numbers: The one-day effort resulted in 41 truck inspections. Troopers found 212 violations of safety rules and state laws.
- Seventeen trucks and two drivers were taken off the road for issues like bad brakes and tires.
- Twenty-eight citations were handed out.
- Nine trucks passed and got CVSA decals showing they had no immediate safety problems.
What they were looking for: This enforcement focused on trucks that might miss regular weigh station checks, often running local or alternate routes.
The inspections were carried out by the MAPS Team, a special patrol group funded by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, according to Nebraska State Patrol.
The 19 out-of-service orders mean those trucks—or drivers—were not allowed to keep rolling until repairs or issues were fixed.
