New TA Travel Center opens in Arkansas with 100 truck parking spaces

TravelCenters of America (TA) opened a new franchised truck stop in Atkins, Arkansas, offering various services and amenities to truckers and the general public.

What’s new: The Atkins TA has opened its doors with features including:

  • 100 truck parking spaces to accommodate professional drivers.
  • Quick-service restaurants: Sbarro (opening April 1st) and Charley's Cheesesteaks (arriving in July 2024).
  • Six diesel fueling positions with DEF, along with six showers for driver convenience.
  • Facilities like a driver’s lounge and laundry area to support drivers on the road.

Community support: As part of its opening celebration, TA Atkins donated $2,500 to the Main Street Mission, a local food bank assisting the community.

This latest expansion by TA, part of the bp portfolio, marks the fifth location in Arkansas, enhancing the network of support for truckers throughout the state according to TravelCenters of America.

In honor of the new travel center, the TA Atkins location plans to contribute positively to both the trucking community and the residents of Atkins and surrounding areas.
