In a vivid reminder of the hazards of winter driving, the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) released dashcam footage showing a car colliding with a snow plow after trying to pass a big rig on a snow-covered road.

The incident: The video serves as a warning against attempting risky maneuvers in poor road conditions. The car was attempting to overtake a big rig and ended up crashing into a snow plow.

Note to self: don't try to pass when roads are covered in snow and slush.
