Overloaded truck stopped in Scranton, CDL suspended

The Scranton Police Department made a critical stop on November 17, 2024, finding a semi-truck overloaded by thousands of pounds in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

What happened: The truck, carrying 40,000 pounds of goods, was caught using an exit meant for much lighter loads.

The inspection revealed a suspended CDL, missing log book, and an unregistered trailer — last registered back in 1999.
The Motor Carrier Enforcement team had the vehicle towed due to these severe violations.

Thankfully, the truck driver was stopped before any accidents occurred due to these issues.
