Police issue tickets and impound trucks during checkpoint operation

On July 10, Hudson Police and Colorado State Patrol carried out a four-hour commercial vehicle checkpoint in Hudson, Colorado.

The results:

Officers found a total of 60 violations during the operation.
12 citations were given for safety and skipping the weigh station.
Two people were taken into custody.
Three commercial motor vehicles were impounded on the spot.
Seven Level I, eight Level II, and one Level III inspections were completed.
Five trucks were pulled out of service for serious issues.

The operation was a joint effort between local police and state patrol focused on commercial vehicle safety, according to Crimewatch.
