Police search for shooter after I-24 fatal highway attack

Authorities in Tennessee are asking drivers for help after a deadly shooting early Saturday, July 12, on I-24 near the Waldron Road exit heading toward Nashville.

What happened: Noah Taylor, 22, was shot and killed while driving on I-24 around 7:30 a.m. near the Rutherford-Davidson County line. Police say this is being treated as a homicide and are trying to track down the person responsible.

  • Detectives want anyone who was on I-24 between Interstate 840 and Bell Road from 7 to 8 a.m. to share dash cam footage.
  • RCSO Detective Thomas Burnett said, “Dash cam footage would be advantageous.”

Reward offered: Taylor’s family is putting up $2,000 and Crime Stoppers is adding $1,000 for tips that lead to an arrest and prosecution.
