Reckless BMW driver causes Amazon semi to jackknife on I-75

A wild accident between a BMW and an Amazon tractor-trailer on I-75 in Hillsborough County, Florida, was caught on dash cam just after 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 7.

What happened: Troopers say two 18-year-old men in a BMW were driving southbound and moving recklessly. The driver lost control and swerved into the center lane, slamming into the side of the Amazon trailer.

  • The impact caused the semi to jackknife across the road and come to a stop in the center median.
  • The BMW was trapped under the trailer for a moment before it all came to a halt.
  • Despite how bad it looked, neither the truck driver nor the teens got hurt.

Caught on video: A witness’s dash cam captured the whole wreck as it happened, showing just how quickly things can go sideways when cars act up around big rigs, reported WTSP.

No information has been released about tickets or charges after the crash. Thankfully, everyone walked away unharmed.
