Search underway for stolen 2022 Peterbilt from Louisiana truck stop

The search is on for a black and silver 2022 Peterbilt 589 stolen from Wagin Cajun Big D’s Truck Stop in Duson, Louisiana, on March 8, 2025.

The incident: The theft happened around 7:30 p.m. when the thieves separated the truck from its trailer. One drove it away while another escaped in a white Peterbilt 579 with “LNV” marked on its battery box, as reported by KATC News.

  • Both trucks were last seen moving west on Interstate 10.
  • One suspect is described as a man dressed in all black.

Community assistance: Authorities are asking for tips to help locate the vehicle. Anyone with details can call the tip line at (337) 789-TIPS. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
