Semi dangles off Route 30 bypass, closes westbound lanes

A tractor-trailer went off the Route 30 Bypass in Sadsbury Township, Pennsylvania, around 1:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

What happened: The semi left the highway and dropped down onto Old Mill Road, just beneath the overpass. A damaged green tractor was also spotted near the site with clear skid marks back to the trailer.

  • Authorities closed all westbound lanes of Route 30 at Airport Road. Drivers were told to avoid the area.
  • No official word yet on injuries or what started the wreck, and the crash is under investigation.

Photos from the scene show the tractor-trailer balancing nose down on the road below, with the trailer's back end still up on the bypass deck, according to 6abc.

As of Thursday afternoon, Route 30 westbound remains closed until further notice.
