Semi overturning in Ohio highlights trucking challenges

A semi truck overturned on Tuesday in Elyria, Ohio, spilling a load of scrapped forklifts across the I-90 eastbound ramp. The accident occurred when the truck was turning from State Route 57 onto the ramp.

The incident: The load shift caused the semi to tip over, dumping around 40 tons of material and leading to a major cleanup operation. The ramp was closed for several hours.

Fire Chief Joe Pronesti commented on the cleanup effort, stating it was "a painstakingly slow process."
The driver, Aaron Drayton-Ali, was cited for a load shift but thankfully was not injured during the incident.
