Semi-truck mistakenly drives through golf course causing chaos

A truck driver shocked a Delaware County golf course when he drove a semi-truck through the Northstar Golf Club on May 9, 2025.

What happened: The driver, identified as Gurpreet Dhaliwal, entered the course's clubhouse area and continued onto the back nine holes, causing significant damage. A bridge at hole 16 was destroyed.

  • Police found Dhaliwal after the incident, and he claimed he was lost.
  • The semi-truck did not have a license plate, leading police to identify it via the insurance card.

Charges: Dhaliwal faces felony 4th-degree vandalism charges, along with operating a vehicle while impaired and other offenses. He was released on a $500 recognizance bond.

Next steps: A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 16, where further details will be revealed. The incident follows a crash involving the same semi-truck the previous night, reported ABC 6 News.

Thankfully, despite the surprising nature of the incident, no injuries were reported.
