Semi truck's quick thinking averts disaster on interstate 475

In a close call that could have been disastrous, a pickup truck and a semi narrowly avoided a collision and a potentially severe accident. This incident unfolded on February 25, 2025, captured by a traffic camera along Interstate 475.

The scene: The semi truck jackknifed, causing it to skid off the roadway and onto the grassy median. Just moments later, a pickup truck swerved left trying to avoid the semi, ending up in the opposite lanes.

The pickup skidded into oncoming traffic, narrowly avoiding a crash with another vehicle.
The quick maneuvers of both drivers helped prevent what could have been a severe accident.
