Stabbing suspect crashes stolen semi truck off Indiana bridge

Police in Wisconsin are investigating after a man wanted for stabbing a woman tried to escape by driving a semi truck off a bridge. The incident started early Sunday, June 15, when officers responded to a 911 call about a stabbing at an apartment in the 11000 block of Legen Avenue near Wauwatosa.

What happened:

A 41-year-old woman was found with serious injuries and taken to the hospital. Her 15-year-old daughter was also hurt and needed medical care.
Police identified a suspect and found him later at a truck stop in Gary, Indiana.
Multiple departments chased the semi on Interstate 94. The truck left the highway and crashed off the Willowcreek Bypass bridge in Portage, Indiana, landing near train tracks.
The driver got out and ran but was caught soon after.

What’s next: The suspect’s name has not been released. As of now, no charges have been filed, and police say the investigation is ongoing, according to FOX 32 Chicago.
