Stabbing suspect crashes stolen semi truck off Indiana bridge

Police in Wisconsin are investigating after a man wanted for stabbing a woman tried to escape by driving a semi truck off a bridge. The incident started early Sunday, June 15, when officers responded to a 911 call about a stabbing at an apartment in the 11000 block of Legen Avenue near Wauwatosa.

What happened:

  • A 41-year-old woman was found with serious injuries and taken to the hospital. Her 15-year-old daughter was also hurt and needed medical care.
  • Police identified a suspect and found him later at a truck stop in Gary, Indiana.
  • Multiple departments chased the semi on Interstate 94. The truck left the highway and crashed off the Willowcreek Bypass bridge in Portage, Indiana, landing near train tracks.
  • The driver got out and ran but was caught soon after.

What’s next: The suspect’s name has not been released. As of now, no charges have been filed, and police say the investigation is ongoing, according to FOX 32 Chicago.
