Suspect at large after $31,000 semi truck vandalism in Tennessee

The Henderson County Sheriff's Department in Tennessee is looking for a suspect who slashed the tires of semi trucks at the 101 Travel Plaza on I-40 in Cedar Grove. The incident happened around midnight on September 11, 2024.

The details: The suspect vandalized seven semi trucks, causing about $31,000 in damages. Dash cam footage shows the suspect walking between parked trucks and puncturing the tires.

This isn't the first time such an incident has occurred. Florida has seen similar cases, with tire slashing incidents reported on I-75 and I-10 in Columbia County.
Back in October 2023, a trucker found all 18 of his tires slashed along with the six tires on the equipment he was hauling while parked overnight off I-75 in Adel, Georgia.

Law enforcement urges anyone with information to contact the Henderson County Sheriff's Department at (731) 968-3421. The investigation is active and ongoing.
