The details: William “Bill” Hergemueller, Erskine "Nat" Holcomb, and Jesse McGraw are accused of siphoning fuel and taking various goods from wrecked trailers, including cheese, duck meat, and croissants.
- The men reportedly lacked the proper licenses to conduct fire marshal duties and inspections.
- On December 19, 2022, Hergemueller and Holcomb allegedly stole fuel and food from a semi that overturned on US 59.
- They also seized items from another crash scene in 2023 involving a fatality and a box truck.
Hergemueller is charged with multiple counts including official oppression and tampering with a government record. Holcomb and McGraw face charges of tampering with a government record and theft of property, according to ABC13.
All three were released from jail the day they were arrested.
