Tractor-trailer crash into condos injures four in Virginia

Four people were injured on Monday when a tractor-trailer crashed into a condo building in Woodbridge, Virginia.

The incident: It occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on Gordon Boulevard near I-95. The accident involved multiple vehicles and resulted in a pickup truck and a tractor trailer slamming into the Moorings of Occoquan Condominiums.

  • No one inside the building was hurt, but several condos suffered moderate damage.
  • The crash displaced some area residents as a safety evaluation of the building is conducted.

Details: Along with the condo damage, the collision totaled several vehicles including a car, a van, and an SUV.

  • Five individuals were checked for injuries, with four needing hospitalization.
  • The road was closed for several hours to allow for cleanup and investigation.

What happened: The cause of the crash is not yet known and an investigation is ongoing, reported NBC4 Washington.

All lanes of Gordon Boulevard reopened by 4 p.m. on the same day.
