Tragic accident as young trucker accidentally kills veteran driver

A tragic accident occurred on April 10th at Priority Cooling Mann Pack in Yuma, Arizona, where a truck driver lost his life.

What we know: The incident happened around 12:34 p.m. A 21-year-old trucking rookie was maneuvering his semi into a loading dock with assistance from a 61-year-old veteran driver.

  • The young driver accidentally pinned the older man against the dock, leading to severe injuries.
  • The injured driver was rushed to Onvida Health, where he was pronounced dead, according to KYMA.

More details: Yuma Police Department (YPD) reported no other injuries associated with this incident. Both individuals involved were from out of state.

The truck was being directed into the loading zone when the tragic accident took place. The young driver's inexperience may have played a role, but no charges have been filed as of now.

The police continue to investigate the details, but the road remains open, with trucking activities running as usual.
