Train collides with semi truck, scattering rocks in Colorado

A semi truck and a train collided on Wednesday afternoon in Adams County, Colorado, without any serious injuries reported.

The incident: Just after 3:30 p.m. near E. Colfax Avenue and N. Peterson Road, an eastbound Union Pacific train struck a semi truck hauling large rocks.

  • The truck was heading north when the train hit the trailer's rear, detaching it and overturning the load.
  • Rocks were scattered across the crash scene, but the train remained on its tracks with only front-end damage.

What we know: The truck driver was hospitalized with minor injuries, reported Denver7.
