Arizona troopers wrapped up a weeklong blitz focused on hazmat and commercial trucks along I-10, I-17, and I-40, finishing on June 20, 2025.
By the numbers:
- 240 truck inspections
- 660 violations found
- 22 drivers and 41 trucks placed out of service
- 20 citations handed out
- 3 leaking hazmat loads fixed right at the roadside
Common issues: Officials said speed, bad tires, unsecured loads, leaking fuel tanks, and not moving over for broken-down vehicles were the main violations.
All the leaks found during the enforcement blitz were dealt with on site before the trucks continued down the highway.
