Troutdale truck stop altercation leads to serious charges

Police responded to a violent incident at a Troutdale, Oregon truck stop at around 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 1. A man was found with stab wounds at the scene.

What happened: The victim was stabbed in the upper body during an argument over the time he was taking at the diesel pumps.

  • The suspect, identified as Sean Alexis White, fled in his semi-truck with the word "Cobra" on the side.
  • The victim required hospitalization and surgery due to the injuries.

Following the altercation, deputies from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office tracked down White at a nearby gas station and arrested him, reported KATU News.

The charges: White faces multiple charges including second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

  • He also has a criminal history, including a voluntary manslaughter conviction from 1988.
  • Prosecutors are pushing for a preventive detention hearing to ensure he remains in custody.

White remains in custody as of Wednesday, and the legal process is ongoing.
