Truck driver escapes after dramatic high-speed chase in Boston

On February 27th in Dedham, Massachusetts, a truck driver led police on a high-speed chase after damaging property at a trucking company. The chase started when the driver drove a tractor-trailer into a forklift, causing it to flip, as reported by CBS Boston.

The chase: After leaving the crane and trucking company, the driver took off down the University Avenue ramp to Interstate 95 north. A police pursuit quickly followed.

  • Massachusetts State Police, joined by K9 units, trailed the truck until it crashed after getting off at Great Plain Avenue, West Roxbury.
  • Witnesses said it felt like something out of a movie, with multiple officers and a helicopter involved in the chase.

Following the crash: The driver, carrying a duffel bag and another bag, escaped on foot into the nearby woods, successfully avoiding capture.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage from the area in hopes of tracking down the suspect. As of now, the driver remains at large, and anyone with information is urged to contact Massachusetts State Police, according to CBS Boston.

Despite the commotion, no injuries were reported during the incident.
