Truck driver missing after breakdown at West Virginia hotel

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office in West Virginia is searching for missing truck driver Eric Macon, who hasn't been heard from since June 29, 2025.

What happened: Macon, a 56-year-old from Georgia, was last known to be staying at a hotel in Cross Lanes after his semi truck broke down.

  • Macon's family says they have tried contacting him for over a week with no luck.
  • He is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 175 pounds.

Officials: Police are asking anyone with information to call Deputy K.B. Nikocevic at 304-357-0169 or Detective R.S. Alford at 304-357-0556.
