Truck loses wheel in Indiana, damages parked cars

A commercial truck lost its wheel assembly while driving northbound on US 35 in La Porte County, Indiana, on May 18, damaging two parked cars.

The incident: The wheel flew off the truck, crashed through a fence, and hit two parked vehicles in a driveway. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The driver, who continued heading north, may not have realized the wheel came off, according to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office (LPCSO).
The mishap was caught on security footage, which the police released to help identify the truck.
