Truck Parking Club teams up with CAT Scale to boost parking

Truck Parking Club is joining forces with CAT Scale, one of the most recognized names in truck weighing, after a new investment deal was announced this week.

The details: CAT Scale, which has been around since 1977 and operates more than 2,275 truck scale locations, is backing Truck Parking Club as it tries to fix one of the biggest headaches for drivers: finding a legal place to park.

  • Truck Parking Club, started by truckers for truckers, lets drivers find and pay for parking through its website and app.
  • The company has grown fast, now offering 2,262 places where a rig can legally stop, and is aiming for 10,000 locations by the end of 2026.
  • With CAT Scale’s experience and reputation, Truck Parking Club hopes to give drivers more options and cut down the nearly hour-long search many drivers face every night.

“We’re humbled by CAT Scale’s investment and that they see the value we bring to drivers,” said Evan Shelley, the Truck Parking Club’s CEO.

Why it matters: The lack of parking is a top concern for most truckers. Search times are a huge frustration and force many to park in unsafe spots or risk fines. CAT Scale’s new partnership will help Truck Parking Club expand faster and support drivers who keep America’s freight moving, according to Weigh My Truck.

Truck Parking Club says its goal is to make finding truck parking take 10 minutes or less. With more eyes on the problem and trusted names behind the solution, drivers could see more safe and legal parking options on the horizon.
