Trucker arrested after red light crash injures two in Texas

On Tuesday, July 29, a crash involving an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck happened at the intersection of Highway 59 and Loop 390 in Marshall, Texas.

What happened: Police say a truck driver, Kenneth Janowski, drove his semi through a red light and hit a pickup hauling an empty horse trailer.

Two people in the pickup were hurt and taken to the hospital. Their conditions have not been shared yet.
The truck crash also spilled diesel fuel onto the road and into a drainage ditch. Hazmat crews came out to clean up the fuel.

The charges: Janowski, 59, was arrested at the scene. He faces two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle after the crash, according to KLTV.

The case is still under investigation. No other details have been released by police.
