Trucker found deceased in semi's sleeper cab, police investigating

A man was found deceased inside a semi-truck's sleeper cab at a rest area off Interstate 495 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, prompting a police investigation.

The situation: State Police conducted a wellness check around 9:30 AM on Wednesday after the driver was unresponsive to contact attempts.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the individual unresponsive and he was declared dead at the scene. The cause of death remains uncertain and the incident is currently under investigation, as NBC Boston reports.

Massachusetts State Police detectives are actively seeking answers to understand the circumstances surrounding the driver's death.

The rest area off Interstate 495 is a frequent stop for truckers along this Massachusetts highway, and the investigation highlights the importance of wellness checks and the unseen challenges truckers may face.
