Trucker killed after being pinned by backing semi at dock

A 60-year-old truck driver died on Wednesday, October 15th, at the Pepsi Bottling Plant on Northeast Loop 410 near Old Seguin Road in San Antonio.

What happened: The driver noticed some of his cargo had spilled in the parking area. He put on his safety vest and got out of his truck to pick up the cargo.

While he was retrieving the items, another tractor-trailer reversed into the last loading space.
The backing truck accidentally struck the driver, pinning him between the trailer and the loading dock.
Paramedics arrived quickly and performed CPR, but the driver died at the scene.

The man's name has not been released. Police are still investigating the incident, reported News4SanAntonio.
