A truck driver lost his life Tuesday, May 27th, when he was run over by his own tractor-trailer in Rochester, Pennsylvania.
What happened: The 71-year-old driver was at the Sherwin-Williams paint facility on Cleveland Street, preparing to disconnect from his trailer.
- As he worked outside his rig, the tractor started to roll forward.
- Trying to stop the truck, the driver was pulled under the rear wheels and fatally injured.
- The trailer then rolled backwards, crossed the street, and ended up in a nearby parking lot.
Police response: Local police called in the Pennsylvania State Police to help investigate and checked the truck’s braking system.
