Trucker seriously injured by reversing SUV in Texas accident

A serious accident in Lubbock, Texas, on December 30th left truck driver Gregg Vargas badly injured. Vargas was working near his semi in a parking lot when hit by an SUV.

Details: The SUV driver, 76-year-old William Nelson, was reversing when he collided with Vargas and the semi-truck. The incident took place around 10:45 a.m. in the 4300 block of North Loop 289.

Investigation ongoing: Police are still looking into why the SUV driver backed into the trucker. No charges have been announced yet.

Vargas was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, reported KCBD News. The case remains open as authorities gather more details.
