Trucker tragically killed by own semi in Pennsylvania accident

An incident in Darby Township, Pennsylvania, took a tragic turn when a truck driver was fatally run over by his own rig on November 6, 2024.

The details: The driver was securing the trailer door in an industrial park on Calcon Hook Road when his semi started rolling. Trying to stop it, he tripped and fell beneath the wheels.

  • His wife was sleep in the cab during the accident, unaware of the unfolding tragedy.

Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage to understand the exact sequence of events, police chief Michael Sousa noted. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, reported Delco Times.
