Truckers unite for charity at Mayberry Truck Show

Truckers are gearing up to support the Brenner Children’s Patient Assistance Fund at the fourth annual Mayberry Truck Show in Mount Airy, North Carolina.

The event: Scheduled for September 27 and 28, the event will showcase over 300 custom semi-trucks, a parade through town, live music, awards, and a fireworks display, reported Mount Airy News.

Why it matters: Proceeds will benefit the Brenner Children’s Patient Assistance Fund, which supports families in financial need when their children are hospitalized.

  • Mitchell Bottomley, CEO of Bottomley Enterprises, started the fundraiser after witnessing a fellow parent struggle to stay by their hospitalized child’s side.
  • Since its inception, the event has raised over $1 million for the fund.

Alisa L. Starbuck from Atrium Health Levine Children’s Brenner Children’s Hospital expressed deep gratitude for the continuous support, emphasizing the significant relief it brings to many families.

Truckers coming together for this event will be both a show of community spirit and generosity.
