Trucking company owner arrested after FBI drug and gun raids

The owner of a Long Island trucking company, Kingsley McDonald, was arrested on September 9, 2025, after FBI, IRS, and local police found large quantities of drugs and firearms during raids at several locations tied to him.

The details: Agents searched four different properties, including two storage units and his home. They recovered around 5 kilograms of fentanyl, an AK-47 and AR-15 assault rifle, a .357 revolver, ammunition, cocaine, marijuana, and a kilogram press.

  • At his Farmingdale storage unit, police found the biggest stash — bags of fentanyl, guns, and a box of pasta, though authorities did not explain the pasta's purpose.
  • Other locations turned up even more drugs: heroin, cocaine, and another firearm.

Prosecutors say: McDonald, owner of McDonald Logistics Inc., personally sold over 570 grams of fentanyl and other drugs in Suffolk County over the past year. “Each of the defendant’s sales involved quantities of fentanyl well in excess of 40 grams,” the U.S. Attorney shared in a court letter.

What else: Phone evidence showed McDonald regularly communicated with drug buyers and also sold Adderall and oxycodone. Prosecutors called him both a flight risk and a danger to the community, according to Patch.

McDonald was charged with conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and ordered held by a federal judge. He faces serious federal drug charges as the case moves forward.
